V-TAV Text Project Space One38 Infoslut July 5th, 1998

M River - Welcome to the ALL NEW V-TAV Text Project Space. The featured artist in the V-TAV/TPS this month is one38 Infoslut. We've never met one38, but we're familiar with his website at http://www.one38.org

T Whid - one38's work July 5th,1998 has been floating around in our hard drive for a few months before we decided to pair it with the ADS Show. We think it approaches some of the same subjects as the ADS but with a narrative style.

M River - Let's take a look...okay...roll the film...

(Lights dim and a projector motor clicks on)

July 5th, 1998

(film fades to black and the lights of the Text Project Space come on)

T Whid - The exterior shells of consumerism are found in both the ADs and one38's July 5th, 1998, but the meat of both works seems to be in the artists' means of communication

M River - The play between what is asked for and what each artist recieves drives the work in this V-TAV show. This may be seen in ADS#1003’s wish for a relationship with a failed past or in the questioning state the man is left with at the end of July 5th.

T Whid - Yes which leads us back to the V-TAV motto. "Understanding by Misinformation"

M River - I thought you said the V- TAV motto was "It's Art Because It's In Our Gallery"

T Whid - Oh yeah...but no one buys that.

M River - Speaking of buying, don't forget to stop by the sales office. We have some wonderful products ready for your home, office or PC

T Whid - We hope you come back to the V-TAV soon and if this is your first visit, please feel free to wonder around the archives of our first 3 shows. It looks like River and I will follow gallery tradition and close down for the summer. We hope to see everyone in September.
